Damon Lindelof Believes There Should Be More Dongs On Television

During its short three-season run, The Leftovers provided plenty of male nudity. It’s butt/penis per episode ratio is probably one of the highest for any series to air on television. Chris Zylka, Christopher Eccleston, Jack Bennett (NSFW), Charlie Carver and Justin Theroux have all dropped trou at some point on the HBO drama. Its co-creator/executive producer is speaking out about male nudity and that there should be more of it.

“There’s an incredible disproportion between naked women and naked men on television,” Damon Lindelof tells TVLine. “And if you’re going to do a show on HBO, which is one of the few places where you can do full frontal nudity, there’s no excuse not to show more dongs. I’m passionate about it.” Preach brother, preach!!!

“The audience still has a very odd reaction to seeing male genitalia,” says the 44-year-old producer. “Yet when they see female genitalia or naked breasts, they’re completely nonchalant about it. [So] I’m just the beginning of the vanguard, but I want to normalize male nudity on television.”

While nude numerous times, Theroux actually never went full frontal. The closest we got to seeing his peen was that memorable jogging scene where his tool was whipping back and forth like Willow Smith’s hair. That Jennifer Aniston is one lucky gal 😉
