While One Direction stayed clear of a condoms endorsement deal, Daft Punk isn’t shy about pimping out prophylactics. Truth be told, I’m surprised this hasn’t happened any sooner given their library of songs including “One More Time,” “Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger,” and “Around the World.” They’re absolutely a perfect fit.
Durex Condoms thinks so as well. They’ve collaborated with the French electronic music duo to make a “Get Lucky” brand of condoms. So far, Durex has only sent promotional packages to DJs including Diplo, who tweeted the above photo with the caption, “Thank god I had those daft punk condoms last night.” Daft Punk joins Prince, 50 Cent, U2, and Kiss as other musical acts Durex has worked with.
Their condom endorsement deal is just their latest. Recently, they inked a deal with Bandai and Japan’s SH Figuarts to create their own line of action figures. The toys won’t officially be out until later this year, with a Japanese release date set for November and an American date at the end of December.
