Since we had friends from Seattle staying with us tonight, we decided to order take-out instead of Brian cooking dinner. While Brian and Dan F. ordered Mongolie grill, Alex and I opted for some Greek food. As I was chowing down my chicken/lamb souvlaki combo, I decided to devote my weekly crush to someone of Greek heritage.

The lucky recipient for my adoration is Michael Rady. To be perfectly honest, I’m not even sure if he has an ounce of Greek blood in him but he played Kostas in “The Sisterhood of Traveling Pants”, so I figured that was close enough. Playing the Greek character was this American’s first acting role and set a bunch of teenage girls’ hearts-a-fluttering- including myself.

Since that role, he’s landed a few guest acting gigs for CSI, ER, Grey’s Anatomy and The Closer. In between those jobs, he played the role of Max Tyler in the dramedy, “Greek”. See, a non-greek playing a Greek then starring in a show titled “Greek”. This totally justifies my rationale in selecting him as a Greek for my weekly crush, right?

Leading up to Fall 2009, he received a lot of press due to his part in the Melrose Place reboot. Playing the role of the cute lovable dork a la Billy Campbell in the original, Rady plays Jonah Miller, an aspiring filmmaker. Even though Auggie has the hot ripped body, and David has the bad boy thing going for him, Jonah has that boy next door quality you want to cuddle up with. And after seeing him, for the first time shirtless in last week’s episode- all i can say is “WOOF DADDY”. Rady’s got the right amount of chest hair that makes you want to dive nose first into- sexy, sexy, sexy.

If watching him in teen flicks or nighttime soap operas aren’t your thing, you can watch him in Showtime’s “Sleeper Cell”. He plays a gay man in love with a gay terrorist and you get to see him get a lot of man-on-man loving. There’s a hot gym locker encounter you should check out, not at work obviously.
