Christina Aguilera & Demi Lovato Fight The Patriarchy In Powerful ‘Fall In Line’ Music Video

The music video for “Fall In Line” has arrived and it’s as powerful as the song. This is the comeback I was hoping for from Christina Aguilera. Not that hot mess called “Accelerate.” Liberated finally!!!

Fall In Line” is the latest taste off Aguilera’s forthcoming LP, Liberation, out June 15. The midtempo ballad is an empowering anthem tailor-made for the #MeToo era. “Little girls, listen closely/ No one told me, but you deserve to know/ That in this world you are not beholden/ You do not owe them your body and your soul,” Christina kicks things off.

Just days after releasing the single, Aguilera and Demi Lovato performed their highly-hyped duet at the 2018 Billboard Music Awards. The ladies didn’t disappoint. It was a masterclass in vocal gymnastics and ad-libbing.

The promotional music video was directed by photographer and filmmaker Luke Gilford. It begins with two girls playing in a field. They’re soon snatched up by two men who imprison them. While in captivity, X-Tina and Demi are forced to perform for faceless male figures. Eventually they escape and return to the sun-kissed field. Check it out below.
