Adam Lambert Brings Cher To Tears With ‘Believe’ Cover

The 2018 Kennedy Center Honors aired on CBS last night. This year’s honorees were composer Philip Glass, jazz sax player Wayne Shorter, country superstar Reba McEntire, creators of Hamilton: An American Musical (Lin-Manuel Miranda, Thomas Kail, Alex Lacamoire, and Andy Blankenbuehler) and the one and only Cher.

Among those who took to the stage to honor Cher were Little Big Town who performed a trio of her hits and Cyndi Lauper who belted out the 80s anthem “If I Could Turn Back Time.” However it was Adam Lambert who stole the show and brought the 72-year-old icon to tears with a moving cover of her iconic pop hit “Believe.”

Watch his stirring rendition below, along with a couple of other highlights from the telecast including Kelly Clarkson belting McEntire’s Fancy” and Lauper and Lambert teaming up on “I Got You Babe.”
