Has anyone seen Chelsea Lately, lately? She hasn’t been on at all this week, and the 34 year old late night talk show host/comedian/author is normally on every night like all of the other late shows. As you may or may not know, Chelsea Handler and her live-in boyfriend/”Silver Fox” Ted Harbert broke up last week.

So here’s where it gets fishy for me. Ted Harbert (who is 20 years older than her) is the CEO of E TV, and thus in charge of E TV’s Chelsea Lately show… and also the one that signed her onto the three year deal on the show. But, her show hasn’t been on since the breakup, on our local station. True Blood‘s Rutina Wesley was supposed to make an appearance on Chelsea Lately last night, but it didn’t air. WTF? Maybe it was just our local station. New York Times has previously said that the show had past been renewed until December 2009, but what about after that? Break ups can get messy – especially when your career is involved!

Why do I love Chelsea? Here is a video of Chelsea for one of the skits she used to do called “Deep Inside Hollywood” where Chelsea imitates a Hollywood interviewer/reporter (like Inside Edition, Dateline NBC, Barbara Walters, etc.). It is so over the top funny – I wish she would keep doing them! She actually reminds me of Adam when he gets going on his rants, making fun of people. Hmm, “M’Adam Lately”? I think there’s an opportunity here, Adam.
