Charlize Theron’s latest commercial for Dior’s fragrance, J’Adore, has been out for a couple weeks now, but just came across it today. I figured I wasn’t the only one who hadn’t seen, so I decided to write a quick post about it. It’s actually pretty friggin’ amazing. Filmed exclusively at the Galerie des Glaces at the Château de Versailles, the gorgeous actress radiates throughout the commercial. Jean-Jacques Annaud directed the visually stunning clip.
Through the wonders of technology, Charlize gets to mingle with legendary blond sirens from old Hollywood. She kisses Grace Kelly on the cheek, coyly smiles at Marlene Dietrich and hands over a bottle of the fragrance to Marilyn Monroe. It’s the first time Monroe’s likeness has been used in a fragrance ad since 1987. Then, Chanel morphed model Carole Bouquet to Marilyn using special effects.
Set to The Gossip’s song “Heavy“, Charlize saunters backstage as she prepares to walk the runway. I have to say Theron has a pretty fierce walk. She can teach a few of those ANTM beyotches a thing or two. Jay Alexander watch your back. Charlize could easily take over your job as runway coach. Check out her Theron’s signature walk below.
