With Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt in London that past little while, the rumors were already circulating that they’d be in this new season of Celebrity Big Brother in the UK. Now, with the official cast revealed, the rumors turned out to be true and it looks like it’s going to be one hell of a season.

The new season debuted on Thursday on Channel 5 in the UK and nearly 3.5 million people tuned in, down from 5.1 million who watched in 2011. I so wish we were able to watch Celebrity Big Brother here in North America. I wouldn’t mind seeing how Speidi fairs in their return to Reality TV and I also wouldn’t mind seeing Sam Robertson, the hot model/actor in the house, wearing as little as possible. The series is expected to last three weeks, with the first eviction due on Wednesday.

Spencer Pratt & Heidi Montag

Age: 29 and 26
Known For: Featured in US TV show The Hills, with their relationship repeatedly dominating the storylines of the MTV series… and eventually they got written out of the show.

Sam Robertson

Age: 27
Known For: The Dundee-born model and actor rose to fame playing Adam Barlow in Coronation Street and has also appeared in River City and Beaver Falls.

Trish Penrose

Age: 42
Known For: Appeared in ITV drama Heartbeat as well as The Royal and Emmerdale.

Neil Ruddock

Age: 44
Known For: His football career was defined as an uncompromising hardman in defence for teams including Millwall, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur.

Gillian Taylforth

Age: 57
Known For: Played Kathy Beale in EastEnders for more than a decade where she was involved in dramatic storylines including several affairs, rape and death.

Rylan Clark

Age: 24
Known For: His theatrical style made him a hit on last year’s X Factor. He has also had a stint in a Spanish boyband and in Take That and Westlife tribute acts.

Ryan Moloney

Age: 33
Known For: The actor, who grew up in Melbourne, has played Jarrod Toadfish Rebecchi in Neighbours since 1995.

Frankie Dettori

Age: 42
Known For: Born in Milan, he moved to England as a teenager and became one of the most successful jockeys of his generation. As a side note, only weeks ago he was given a six-month ban from his sport after testing positive for drugs.

Claire Ricahrds

Age: 35
Known For: She signed up with pop group Steps when she was still a teenager and toured the world selling millions of records.

Lacey Banghard

Age: 20
Known For: The glamour girl from Bedford won the Page 3 Idol competition before going on to model for Nuts, Front and Loaded as well as appearing as a Soccer AM Soccerette with ex-CBB housemate Rhian Sugden.

Paula Hamilton

Age: 50
Known For: Starred in a 1980s advert for Volkswagen where she left her husband, ditched her jewellery and fur coat but kept the car.
