Celebrity Apprentice Guys Release Charity Single

While the women of “Celebrity Apprentice 4” look like they’re auditioning for a version of Bravo’s “The Real Housewives of…”, the men are putting their talents together for the greater good. Lil Jon, John Rich, Meat Loaf and Mark McGrath recorded a single titled “Standing in the Storm” for which proceeds will go to the four men’s respective charities. The men debuted their collaboration on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show.

With their musical tastes so different, the obvious question would be, how does the charity single sound? Meat Loaf describes it as a “rock/country/hip-hop thing” and says “It’s very interesting,”  in an interview on RyanSeacrest.com. Interesting is never a good thing when describing a single. While I do applaud the quartet for trying to create something, it’s kinda one big hot mess. What probably sounded like a good idea in concept never materialized into something audibly pleasing.

Considering the pool of talent, I’m a little shocked. Mind you, just because lasagna, sushi and Indian food all taste delicious, it doesn’t mean you should put them all on the plate together. It’ll probably give you the runs for days. So before watching tonight’s part one of “Celebrity Apprentice’s” finale, check out their single below.
