CBS Pulls Katherine Heigl’s ‘Doubt’ From Its Schedule After Only Two Episodes

The verdict is in for Doubt and it’s not good. Technically, it’s not canceled but the decision to yank it from the schedule after airing only two episodes pretty much says it is.

The drama series received lukewarm reviews and premiered to a 0.8 rating in adults 18-49 on Feb. 15 and fell to a 0.6 with its second episode. It marked Katherine Heigl’s second attempt to return to primetime after last year’s NBC failed series, State of Affairs. Maybe leaving Grey’s Anatomy years ago wasn’t the best decision.

Even though Doubt had a very short run, it did make history. It was the first broadcast series to feature a regular transgender character played by a transgender actor, Laverne Cox.

No word on whether CBS plans to air the remaining 11 unaired episodes. If they do, expect them to air Saturday nights or pop up on CBS All Access.

Did you watch the show? Do you think Heigl will ever find a successful vehicle? Or is her career dead? Weigh in below.
