The Hunger Games: Catching Fire doesn’t hit theaters until November 22, 2013, but that hasn’t prevented Lionsgate from beginning its marketing push. Not only has the studio released the first official one sheet, but a motion poster as well. In other words, an animated version of the movie poster. In the words of Alicia Keys, this poster is on “fire“… literally.
Fans of Suzanne Collins’ The Hunger Games book series might recognize the image featured in the sequel’s artwork. It’s a pimped out version of the one found on the Catching Fire book cover. For those who didn’t read the trilogy, it’s Katniss’ mockingjay pin which has become the symbol of rebellion that occurs in the remaining films. While the newly-released motion poster reveals nothing in terms of spoilers, fans anticipating the sequel will eat it up. Check it out below.
As mentioned before, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire hits theaters on November 22, 2013. Joining Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Woody Harrelson, Liam Hemsworth and Elizabeth Banks are a whackload of new stars. The most notable newbies include Philip Seymour Hoffman, Jena Malone, Jeffrey Wright and Sam Claflin. Are you excited for the sequel? Do you like the motion poster that Lionsgate just released? I can’t believe we have to wait an entire year for this movie. Devastating.
