Today, Carly Rae Jepsen‘s third single from her Kiss album goes to radio and it is “Tonight I’m Getting Over You”. When I first heard the album, this was one of my favorite songs so I’m so happy she’s releasing it as a single. In comparison to “Call Me Maybe” and “This Kiss,” the beat in this track is much heavier and dance floor-ready.
Jepsen sings, “I wanna smash your fears / And get drunken off your tears / Don’t you share your smile with anyone else but me / I wanna touch your heart / I wanna crash it in my hands / Make you plead and cry as you give up all the lies / We’re not lovers / But more than friends / Put a flame to every single word you ever said / No more crying to get me through / I’ll keep dancing till the morning with somebody new / Tonight I’m getting over you.”
I’m certain this breakup anthem is going to do really well and I’m looking forward to the music video. If you haven’t heard this song, or want to refresh your memory on it, you can listen to it below.

Agree it’s definitely one of the better tracks on the CD. I hope she releases More than a Memory, or Guitar String/Wedding Ring too! :)

Gosh i really can’t stand this wannabe popstar…she had her 15 minutes…i think her voice is way to squeaky in this song and i think thats one of the worst tracks Max Martin ever created.
