Carly Rae Jepsen Drops Two New Bops ‘Now That I Found You’ & ‘No Drug Like Me’

Honestly, I woke up on the wrong side of the bed today but this quickly changed my mood. Thank God for Carly Rae Jepsen and consistently bringing joy to my life.

The 33-year-old underrated singer released not one, but two, sensational tracks. “Now That I Found You,” produced by Captain Cuts is an infectious exhilarating electro-kissed dance anthem. It lives up to all my expectations after first hearing a snippet featured in the Queer Eye Season 3 promo.

Meanwhile, “No Drug Like Me,” produced by John Hill & Jordan Palmer slows it down a bit. The 80s retro-tinged bop starts off shimmery slow before building to a mid-tempo euphoria. I’m obsessed with both.

“Now That I Found You” is about the high you get when a new love starts to change your life. It’s like the rush, rush, rush is better than any drug. Which leads me to “No Drug Like Me” which is a promise I made to love in general. That when the good stuff lands my way I’ll always try to be vulnerable and brave and show all of myself – – “If you make me feel in love then I’ll blossom for you.”

After the release of “Party Of One” and these two bops, Jepsen’s forthcoming album is shaping up to be a winner. Here’s hoping mainstream radio finally gives her long overdue love. Check them both out below.
