Today’s World Cup “hottie of the day” plays for both teams. No, not like that. Get your mind out of the gutter. Carlos Bocanegra is the captain for Team USA, but he also plays for Stade Rennais in France during regular season play. The UCLA grad is primarily a center back, but has be known to play left back and defensive midfielder as well. I love me a versatile boy. RAWRRRRR. The 31-year-old hunk can attribute his good looks to his Mexican heritage. Yo quiero, indeed-o.
Immediately after graduating UCLA, Bocanegra was drafted by the Chicago Fire to play in the North American league, MLS. He had a successful four year run in the league taking such honors as “MLS Rookie of the Year” in 2000 and “MLS Defender of the Year” in 2002 and 2003. In January 2004, he signed on to play for the English football club, Fulham where he another successful run and captained the team in 2007. He was released by Fulham in 2008 and signed with Stade Rennais a couple of months later. Vive la France!

So pensive, so HOT. Love the ink on his arm. Shows he has a threshold for pain. WINK.
I love a man in a uniform, and more importantly out of one.
Awwww, he looks adorable with that dumb jock stare.
Smooth or with a hint of fur? Doesn’t matter to me. Both look delectable.
I couldn’t find any information on a girlfriend or wife. Could he be possibly be playing for our team? He looks like he’s having an awful lot of fun in this man soup.
Blue is definitely his color. The left picture looks too serious for me.
That smile is KILLA and could melt me into a pool of blubber.
Do you think he’s worthy to be a “World Cup Hottie Of The Day”? Check out some of our previous standouts.
