Back in September, Entertainment Weekly gave our first look at Rami Malek as Freddie Mercury for the upcoming Queen biopic, Bohemian Rhapsody. If that photo wasn’t enough to convince you the Mr. Robot actor could handle playing the iconic singer, this latest peek might.
Bryan Singer, who’s directing the film, shared a pic of Malek performing on stage. From the leg stance to the fist pump, Rami has clearly studied Mercury. Check out the Instagram post below.
Curious to know if Rami’s singing vocals will be used in the film? He recently revealed, “I’m in Abbey Road [Studios] right now if that should say anything to you. I’m not working on my acting.”
Joining Malek in Bohemian Rhapsody are Ben Hardy, Joe Mazzello and Gwilym Lee who’ll tackle the roles of drummer Roger Taylor, bass guitarist John Deacon and lead guitarist Brian May respectively. Also appearing in the film is Mike Myers. If you recall, Myers delivered that epic “Bohemian Rhapsody” car sing-along in Wayne’s World. Can’t wait to see what he brings to this film.
What do you think of the latest pic of Malek as Mercury? Does he do him justice? Sound off below.
