Uptown Funk Just Two Weeks Away From Breaking All-Time Billboard Hot 100 Record

The staying power of Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars’ collaboration is surprising to say the least. “Uptown Funk” notches its fourteenth week in pole position of the Billboard Hot 100. Currently, it’s in a seven-way tie with the likes of Black Eyed Peas and Whitney Houston.

If it can keep its grip for another week, it’ll be the second-longest running hit of all-time. Should it score two more weeks, it would tie the record of 16 weeks which Mariah Carey and Boyz II Men have held with “One Sweet Day” since 1996. How insane is that?

Never did I think “Uptown Funk” would have this sort of longevity. Truthfully, it’s not my favorite Mars hit and in fact, I kinda find it annoying.

Check out all the hits below that have scored 14 weeks atop the Billboard Hot 100. Do you think “Uptown Funk” can score two more weeks at No. 1? Which long-running No. 1 is your favorite? Weigh in below.
