On December 11, Bruno Mars is releasing his next album titled Unorthodox Jukebox. A couple weeks ago, he released the lead single called “Locked Out Of Heaven” and now the music video has just come out.
If you haven’t heard the track, now’s the time to do so – I absolutely love it. In the music video, Mars performs at a club but the filming style is very retro, giving it that aged feel as you were watching the footage on an old VHS tape. Later in the video, he parties with his friends, with the occasional photo snapshot being taken.
Check out the video below – especially if you haven’t yet heard the song. It’s been described as having strong influences of New Wave, with striking resemblances to “Message in a Bottle” and “Roxanne” by The Police, The Romantics’ “Talking in Your Sleep“, and even Michael Jackson’s “Beat It“. The single is already available on iTunes and the album is available for preorder.
