‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’ Scores Biggest Ratings In 2 Years Thanks To NBC Move

Location, location, location. Turns out that doesn’t just apply to real estate.

NBC’s decision to resurrect Brooklyn Nine-Nine appears to be a wise one. The former FOX comedy’s premiere on the peacock network was the show’s biggest Nielsen showing in two years. They’re not huge numbers by any means but much better than what the Andy Samberg series achieved the past couple years. Not including the Jan 1, 2017 episode aided by an NFL lead-in, it marks a three-year high.

The Season 6 premiere generated 3.6 million viewers and a 1.2 rating among adults 18-49. That’s up 71 percent from its Season 5 debut. It’s also improved upon former time slot occupant Will & Grace’s fall average by 50 percent.
