If you’re anything like the majority of my friends, you’ve undoubtedly been counting down til Tuesday when Britney Spears makes a huge announcement. I like Brit, but not nearly as obsessed as my crazy friends 😉 I’ve been waiting for something concrete before posting about her upcoming “Work Bitch” era. At long last, the time has come. Here’s what we know so far about it.

Based on the cover art, it’s obvious she’s not only releasing the single next week but also confirming her highly-anticipated Las Vegas gig at Planet Hollywood. Road trip, anyone?

Regarding her new single, rumor has it she’s sampling RuPaul’s breakout single “Supermodel (You Better Work) .” If that’s the case, that would be friggin’ amazing. Earlier today, Spears tweeted a picture of the song’s lyrics. While the verses and chorus were blacked out, it revealed which heavy hitters she’s recruited.

In addition to frequent collaborator and pal will.i.am, the “Work Bitch” crew also includes former Swedish House Mafia DJ Sebastian Ingrosso, Swedish producer/DJ Otto Jettman, Irish singer/songwriter Ruth-Anne Cunningham, as well as Antony Preston, who has worked with will.i.am. Regarding the music video, she spent three days in the desert filming it with director Ben Mor– the man behind her “Scream and Shout” collabo with will.i.am.

What do you think of the cover art? It’s all very Elton John meets Elizabeth Berkley circa Showgirls meets Christina Aguilera. LOL. I just had to throw in a Xtina reference to get all you Brit fans in a tizzy. Sound off below. Be sure to catch her on Good Morning America on Tuesday for that huge announcement.
