It’s day three of Homorazzi in Hollywood. One of the reasons we ended up going to Los Angeles was a prize Patrick and I won at www.pinkisthenewblog.com. We entered a contest back in December to win two tickets to Britney’s Concert in either Anaheim or Oakland. To make a long story short, we ended up winning the contest and picked the show in sunny Anaheim. To check out the contest and our winning submission, click here to check it out.
I have to admit, both Patrick and I didn’t have a ton of energy for the concert. We were beat from our drive from Palm Springs and the weekend activities. Adam and Brian decided to stay in WeHo, so we made plans to hook up with them after the concert. During our 40 minute drive from West Hollywood to Anaheim, Patrick discussed bailing out on the show if the ticket seats were the same or worse than our seats in Vancouver and sell them- we were never told where the seats were and just to pick them up at will call.
The line at will call- and to enter the Honda Center- were both long, so Patrick stood in the main line while I picked up the tickets. When the attendant gave me the tickets she informed me that I had to go around building to access the floor. That’s right, WE GOT FLOOR SEATS. When I grabbed Patrick from the line he could tell something was up because I had a huge grin on my face. As we walked to the other side of the building Patrick kept jumping up and down in excitement knowing he was going to see his pop princess up close.

As we were walking down to our assigned area on the floor, we walked past the stage while PCD were performing. At one point, we were literally three feet from Jessica and Kimberley while they were grabbing some water to drink. I wanted to shout out to Jessica to see if she recognized me but I was shy and I just kept on walking and enjoyed the rest of their show. I love me some Britney but everyone knows that I initially bought the tickets to the Vancouver show just to watch the Pussycat Dolls. During intermission, Patrick and I decided to grab a couple of beers, walk around, take pictures and do the Miller Lite Taste Challenge. Having seen the show once already, I wasn’t in a huge rush to get back to our seats, so we stayed in the beer concession area until she was mid-through her first song. It was a good thing we waited because the next series of events would’ve never occurred.

While Patty and I were talking, we noticed two really hot guys line up to buy beer. No offense Anaheim but it was our first sighting of “sandwiches” of the night- a term we use for really hot guys. While Patrick was busy scoping them out, I looked over to the girls they were with. I then grabbed Patrick and pointed out that it was Jessica Sutta from the Pussycat Dolls. She sensed that we were talking about her and turned around. I re-introduced myself and she totally remembered me from that night at Celebrities in Vancouver. We chatted for a bit and she mentioned she read my blog and loved my post. Patrick then asked her a question about my post- I guess he wanted to test her. If it was a test, Jessica certainly passed with flying colours because she pointed out a few of my comments on my post. She then introduced me to one of the “sandwiches”, Tyler, who was going to help her out with the charity she mentioned to me back in Vancouver. Not wanting to take advantage of her kindness, I thanked her for taking the time out to chat and for reading homorazzi.com. As we were waiting to go back to our seats, Patrick could overhear Jessica talk positively about us to her entourage about us and how she met us previously. It was so awesome.

We worked our way back to our assigned area and watched the remainder of the show in awe because we were so close to Brit. Watching the concert up this close was like watching it for the first time. It was truly amazing. Patty and I considered leaving right when Womanizer came on so we could avoid the bottleneck of cars leaving the stadium. While discussing this, guess who pops in our section… Jessica and her crew. Seriously, I was almost feeling like a stalker at this point. I couldn’t believe all these accidental encounters with her. I walked up to Tyler, chatted with him, gave him my card, and told him to give us a shout when the non-profit they were working on started. We then all watched the remainder of the concert together. As the concert went on, it became clear that the section we were in would be where Britney would walk by when the concert finished. After this realization, we nixed our original idea of leaving before Womanizer in hopes of taking an up-close picture of Brit. We walked over to the pathway early so that we could secure a good spot for our photo op. When Britney began her encore, I looked over to the side and spotted Jamie-Lynn Spears and Lynne Spears. I have to admit, Jamie-Lynn is absolutely stunning in real life. Unfortunately for us, when the concert ended Britney walked by too fast us to capture a good shot so we immediately ran out the arena to head back to West Hollywood to meet up with Adam and Brian.

I just wanted to use this opportunity to thank Trent from pinkisthenewblog.com for selecting us as winners. We had a great time and can’t thank you enough. Thanks Trent, xoxo Patrick & Donovan.
Below are a few pics from that night. If you want to check out the rest, click here.

Other Random Moments from the Concert:
- Stuck in traffic blocks away from the Honda Arena, this blond hooker sticks her head out the window of her car, showed her boobs and asked us to let their car in. When we agreed, she proceeded to suck her finger in a seductive way as her way of saying thank you. She then got out of the car and came up to us to thank us. When she found out we were gay, she said, and I quote: “You know what I love more than my boyfriend effing me up in the ass? It’s watching two boys eff each other in the ass.” How much do I love that? Seriously this hooker had me in stitches.
- Standing in front of us during the concert were these two guys, I thought were straight ’til they started to hug and kiss each other. They were the cutest things in the world. It’s amazing to see two boys who were probably 16 being that open about being together. You go boys!
- During the break, we were approached to do the Miller Lite Taste Challenge. Free Booze: how can you say NO? Luckily for us we chose the right one and got to finish our beer and we got a free bandana. There was another Taste Challenge on the other side so we decided to go there for some more free beer. This set of girls were uber lazy and were too busy talking to each other to approach us. If there was a Challenge to select which Miller Lite Girls were better, it would be the ones pictured below. They were friendly, professional and funny.

All in all, we had a far different experience than in Vancouver. As far as we know, this is the last Britney concert we’ll be going to for a while, but we’re expecting to hear from Jessica in the near future. Thanks again, Trent; we’ll catch you later this week in WeHo!
