Natasha Bennett plays Britney Spears in the film which chronicles the pop star’s humble Louisiana upbringing, rise to super stardom and rocky moments in the late 2000s. “I’m not going to say I was fun, because I wasn’t,” says Bassett as Spears. “Everything’s just kind of this blur, you know? Until you hit rock bottom.”
The infamous head shaving moment among many others have been recreated for the film. Based on the 30-second clip, including imitating her Southern drawl, Bennett also does a solid job of mimicking Brit’s signature struts and hair tosses.
Also appearing in the movie are Clayton Chitty as Spears’ ex-husband Kevin Federline; Nathan Keyes as Justin Timberlake; Nicole Oliver as the Brit’s mom Lynne Spears; Matthew Harrison as her dad Jamie Spears; Tamara Thorsen as Jenna Dewan, who was romantically linked to Timberlake when she was his backup dancer; Peter Benson as her manager Larry Rudolph; Markian Tarasiuk as choreographer Wade Robson; and Kelly McCabe as Jason Alexander, Spears’ childhood friend to whom she was married for 55 hours in 2004.
Britney Ever After airs Saturday, Feb. 18 at 8 p.m. ET on Lifetime. Check out the trailer below.
