Where in the world is Charlize Theron? Apparently she’s dusting off her old Aeon Flux action moves and saving Brandon Flowers from peril. The former frontman for The Killers, released his music video for his debut solo effort “Crossfire” this week on Vevo.com.

Australian filmmaker Nash Edgerton enlisted Academy Award-winning actress Theron to depict every straight man’s fantasy- being rescued by the South African beauty. The leggy stunner rescues B-Flo in various scenes where he’s being bound, held hostage and tortured by ninja warriors. Of course he is. Charlize is in full-on Uma Thurman circa Kill Bill meets Angelina Jolie circa Tomb Raider mode. Visualize lots of ample slo-mo hair tossing shots. Beyonce would be so proud.

Crossfire” is the lead single from Flowers’ solo album “Flamingo” which drops on September 14. The single was produced by Brendan O’Brien, Daniel Lanois and Stuart Price. According to Flowers himself, “Crossfire” is his son’s favorite track off the album. Though it’s been a while since The Killers have released anything, it’s good to know that Flowers is still as handsome as ever

I’m not sure if I’m totally in love with the song yet- it’s definitely no “Human”, but I do love the stylish big production music video. How can I not? It features a tied up dirty Flowers, ninjas and Charlize Theron. Too bad all music vids don’t have the same ingredients.

BRANDON FLOWERS’ CROSSFIRE MUSIC VIDEO

How random is it that Charlize Theron is kicking ninja ass in the video? I wonder what her paycheck was for this non-Oscar winning work?
