This weekend, Identity Thief reclaimed the top spot at the box office bringing in an estimated $14.06 million. The hilarious comedy, starring Melissa McCarthy & Jason Bateman, is already at almost $100 million after only 17 days of being in theaters.
One of the films that opened this weekend was Snitch, starring Dwayne Johnson, coming in a close second with an estimated $13 million. Another film that opened this weekend (that I really want to see) is Dark Skies, starring Keri Russell. The alien abduction sci-fi horror film didn’t do as great, coming in sixth place with an estimated $5.21 million. Things are looking good for this film, considering it will have some stiff competition this coming Friday when The Last Exorcism Part II comes out.
