With Desperate Housewives having come to an end last year, the ladies have left Wisteria Lane and are now onto some new projects.

A new series is coming to FOX in the near future called Boomerang, and considering that many other networks were also trying to get their hands on the show, it sounds promising. The show comes from John Wells (ER, Shameless) and focusses on the everyday drama surrounding a family business… but this family business is not the norm.

The family business is to execute hits as assassins for the U.S. government. The Desperate Housewives star will play the leader of the pack Margie Hamilton. TV Line, who first learned and shared abou this casting news, writes that the character is described as “a briskly professional assassin who can kill and dispose of a suspected terrorist in the afternoon — then switch to wife and mother mode without a hitch.” Find out which former DH star got the gig below.

None other than Felicity Huffman! I love her as an actress and I think she’ll make a very interesting assassin because she plays the “motherly” character so well that it will make for a fascinating contrast.
