MGM Officially Announces ‘Bond 25’

The countdown to the next James Bond movie is officially underway. MGM announced Bond 25 will arrive in the UK on October 25, 2019, and in the U.S. on November 8, 2019.

As expected, Daniel Craig will play 007 once again. It marks his fifth time playing the iconic character. He now moves past Pierce Brosnan to become the third most to play Bond, trailing only Sean Connery and Roger Moore.

While Sam Mendes directed the previous two installments, Skyfall and Spectre, he’ll step aside to let Slumdog Millionaire director Danny Boyle take the helm.

“We are delighted to announce that the exceptionally talented Danny Boyle will be directing Daniel Craig in his fifth outing as James Bond in the 25th installment of the franchise. We will begin shooting Bond 25 at Pinewood Studios in December with our partners at MGM and thrilled that Universal will be our international distributor.” – EON’s Michael G Wilson and Barbara Broccoli.
