‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ Becomes Highest Grossing Queer Film In History & Second-Highest Biopic Of All-Time

Bohemian Rhapsody continues to rake in money at the box office. After earning $15 million this past weekend, the Rami Malek-starring film just made history.

As of now, Bohemian Rhapsody stands with $127 million in its purse after three weeks. It just passed the Johnny Cash film Walk The Line to become the second-highest grossing biopic in history. Only Straight Outta Compton stands ahead of it with $161 million.

Though it still has a few more dollars to generate to reign supreme among biopics, the Queen film is already number one when it comes to queer flicks. It just passed The Birdcage to become the highest grossing queer-themed movie of all-time. The Robin Williams and Nathan Lane comedy held the spot for almost two decades with $124 million. Rounding out the Top 3 is Interview With A Vampire with $105 million.

Have you seen Bohemian Rhapsody yet? Do you think it can pass Straight Outta Compton? Sound off below.
