I can’t even imagine mourning the death of a parent while the media watches your every move. After experiencing what was arguably the worst couple of months of her young life, things seem to be looking up for Bobbi Kristina Brown. The daughter of legendary Whitney Houston is making good on her promise and entering the entertainment industry.
In her first ever interview after her mom’s death, the 19-year-old revealed, “We’re gonna do the singing thing. Some acting, some dancing… I have to carry on the legacy,” to Oprah Winfrey on “Oprah’s Next Chapter”. TBS confirmed that Bobbi Kristina will be making her scripted acting debut on one of their sitcoms. Her role will be a recurring one. Find out which show she’ll appear on below.
Brown has signed on to join the cast of “For Better or Worse“. The sitcom is the No. 1 show on television with African-American adults. Not a shabby way to begin an acting career. The show centers around characters from the “Why Did I Get Married?” films. “For Better or Worse” returns for its second season in July with 35 brand new episodes.
The show is from the brain child of Tyler Perry. Given that Perry is a close personal friend of the Houston family, it should come as no surprise that Bobbi Kristina is choosing to go with Perry for her first foray into acting. If you recall, Tyler lent his private plane to transport Whitney Houston’s body back to New Jersey for the funeral and burial.
I wish Bobbi Kristina all the luck with her debut and hope she does her momma proud. I’ll definitely be watching her coming out party. Will you? Share your thoughts below.
