American Idol Season 6 runner up, Blake Lewis has just signed with Republic Records (the label for Drake, Florence + The Machine, Alex Clare, Gotye, and more) and is releasing a new album called Portrait Of A Chameleon. His last album release was back in 2009 with Heartbreak On Vinyl, but did have some tracks released after that. Blake describes the new album as “fun, sexy, and positive.”

His first single for this album is called “Your Touch” and it has just come out today. I think the “future pop” song will be a hit and I’m super pumped that he’s signed with a major label. The song is available on Xbox for free for a whole week. It will be everywhere else on March 5.

I’ve always loved his music and I was so stoked to have had the opportunity to interview him a while back. For the release of the single, Lewis has joined forces with Microsoft Internet Explorer`s “Explore Touch” ad campaign. Explained in a press release, “The track rolls from pulsating electronic bass into an utterly unforgettable hook perfect for the dance floor with lyrics that are the perfect audio companion to director Keith Rivers` vision for the ad, showcasing a more fast, fluid web that`s perfect for touch.” Check out the new song (and “Explore Touch” campaign below).
