Billboard Reveals Top 20 Songs Of Summer 2017

With fall officially here, I thought it was the perfect time to recap the tunes that earwormed their way into our consciousness this summer.

To no one’s surprise, Billboard named “Despacito” as the Song of the Summer of 2017. The Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee smash featuring Justin Bieber ruled the publication’s Songs of the Summer chart for all 14 weeks of the survey’s timeframe. It becomes the first predominantly Spanish-language track to take the title since Los Del Rio’s “Macarena (Bayside Boys Mix)” did so in 1996.

Bruno Mars took the runner-up slot with “That’s What I Like.” DJ Khaled then followed, occupying the third and fourth slot with “I’m the One” featuring Bieber, Quavo, Chance the Rapper and Lil Wayne and “Wild Thoughts” featuring Rihanna and Bryson Tiller respectively. Ed Sheeran rounds out the Top 5 with “Shape of You.” Check out the Top 20 list below.
