On tonight’s episode it was pretty uneventful leading up to the Power of Veto competition. Aside from a lot of game talk and Boogie pretty much making alliances with the entire house, things were quite. He also threatened to come after Britney’s team if, in the event that Kara or Frank came off the block, a member of Janelle’s team wasn’t nominated as the replacement. In addition, he brazenly abandoned his “Chilltown” alliance with Dan by throwing him under the bus to Janelle. Boogie informed her, with Dan out of the house she had a 33% chance of winning, and all she had to do was take out his last two players. No big deal right?

Moving onto the Veto competition, as usual, both nominees as well as the HOH picked names from a sack to determine who would be playing in the competition. Here are the players:

  • Willie-Danielle
  • Kara-Will
  • Frank- Shane
  • Willie picked Jojo to host.

Things didn’t look too good for Frank. Of the house guests picked, Shane, Will, and Willie were on the same alliance and Danielle was playing to take Kara off the block. Playing for himself, Frank knew he had to come into the POV and pull out a win.

For the first POV competition of the season it was Big Brother Laundry day. Simple enough, players had to jump through the Big Brother washing machine and search through a sea of foam to retrieve tokens. Players either picked 5 cents, 25 cents or dollar tokens. Once they had their token they then had to jump back through the washing machine and try to throw it into their vending machine. The first player to reach exactly $1.30 would then win the Power of Veto. Throughout the competition a lot of 5 cents and 25 cents tokens were being tossed about but no one could find any dollar tokens. With Shane taking an early lead, by not missing a single toss, it looked like Shane was on his way to victory. Until, Frank found a stack of dollar coins, that he decided to hide upon its discovery. They were found stuck together so, one by one Frank took them and tried to toss them into his slot. Unfortunately for Frank, luck wasn’t on his side and it wasn’t until his forth toss that he was finally able to make it in. By this time Shane was at $1.25 and he was only 5 cents away from the Veto, with Willie not far behind. They were neck and neck, Shane and Frank both with $1.25. In the end it was Shane that found his coin first and ultimately won the Power of Veto. I’d like to add that. Will and Danielle served no purpose in this competition. If I remember correctly Danielle, by the end of the game had 5 cents and Will had 0. Congratulations I think we found this season’s floaters.

Left with a big decision on his hands, Shane wanted to look at all of his options before making his final choice. Talking to Kara, Frank and Boogie, he had several offers to take into account. However, with the fear of shaking things up too early in the game with his alliance, he chose not to use the Power of Veto. Phew! If Shane had used it, he probably would have taken Kara off the block, and put Willie in a tough situation.

With this move firmly pinning Dan against Boogie, Janelle and Britney couldn’t be any happier. Though with a subtle remark hinting a change in the tides, there may be a serious shift in power in the house. “Prepare for things to turn upside down, as the players unite against the coaches.” is all we have to go on for tomorrows episode. I can’t wait!
