Whoa! Did you guys see that one coming? If you haven’t been watching the live feeds or read Patrick’s spoiler earlier this week then tonight’s episode came as one eventful night. On Sunday’s we were left off with Frank nominating Danielle and Dan. However tonight we saw Dan completely flip the house and it only took him 24hrs to do it. Let’s recap on how this master plan unfolded.

With this week’s first Veto in Ian’s possession players had to be chosen for the second veto comp. The Quack-Pack wanted Britney and Shane to play in this one. Best case scenario, Shane or Britney win the veto, both Ian and one of them use the veto to remove both Dan and Danielle off the block. However you’ll notice things didn’t exactly go as planned. Here are the players for the veto:

  • Frank – Shane
  • Danielle – Britney
  • Dan – Houseguest Choice – Jen

Hosted by Ian

Going into it, Dan told Britney he was going to throw the veto comp and give it to either her or Shane. But Dan didn’t trust anyone and was in it to win it. Tonight’s comp was inspired by the popular app “Draw Something“. Players were given a drawing and had to guess what it was before the other houseguests. If they were correct they had to chose if they wanted to keep the points they’d just won. If they decided to keep their points it came at a price and were faced with a BB Punishment. With explaining every irksome detail, punishments ranged from avocado and chum baths, to being turned into a human canvas. During the final round Britney was pissed that Dan wasn’t throwing the competition. She wanted to win so bad that she hit her buzzer without even knowing what the drawing was. Frank decided to whisper the answer to her but wasn’t listening when Ian clearly stated no communication between players was allowed. Frank took the 22 points that he earned to the sidelines as he self-eliminated himself, leaving Dan in first place. The final drawing was worth 11 points so it was anyone’s game. Shockingly Jen won this veto comp and earned herself a slop ticket forcing her to eat nothing but slop for the rest of the summer.

As part of his punishment Dan was confided to house party lock down, where he was locked in a room for 24hrs. The room was equipped with a non-stop loop of dance music with lights and a disco ball to match. He didn’t mind the confinement as it gave him much needed time to think of a way to save himself from eviction. After the 24hrs was up Dan was welcomed by all the houseguests. Right off the bat houseguests could tell something was different about him. Upon exiting the room Dan took a break to drink and prepare himself for what he was about to do. He changed into all black clothing and called a house meeting in the living room, he was about to die. He called it the funeral for Dan the player because after the meeting he wasn’t taking game to anyone. Typically at a funeral, loved ones take turns saying nice things about the deceased. However at Dan’s funeral, he went around the room, warming the hearts of his fellow houseguests with kind words. When it came to Frank he explained that he wrote out an apology and wanted to read it to him one on one in his HOH room. He saved Danielle for last and had few kind words to say about his former newbie. To make it short he basically called her out, stating: “You know what you did!” and “You’re dead to me in this house“. Danielle was completely blind-sided and had the look of a broken heart all over her face. Dan left it at that and part one of his master plan had been completed.

After he went to the HOH and spilled the beans to Frank about the Quack-Pack, informing him that it was Ian that throw Mike under the bus. In the end he proposed an alliance with himself, Daniele, Jen and Frank, an alliance the rest of the house would never foresee of working together. With this new trust in Dan, Frank decided to pass the idea of a final 4 alliance with Dan to Jen, and asked her to use the veto on him.

At the veto ceremony the two veto holders said their piece and Ian decided not to use his veto. When it came to Jen’s turn I could see in Britney’s eyes that she knew something was up. The second Jen stated that she was using it on Dan, you saw her heart hit the floor. Frank named Britney as his replacement nominee in an attempt to weaken Ian and seek revenge out for Boogie. Danielle had to channel her inner actor as Dan apologized and filled her in after of his master plan. He didn’t inform her earlier because he needed her to cry and make it believable. Dan has to go down as one of the best players of Big Brother in history! I’ve never seen a houseguest completely flip the script, with no power whatsoever! Be sure to check out tomorrow’s live eviction to see who gets evicted and who is crowned the new Head of Household!
