Whew, a lot has happened for it only being the first week of Big Brother 13, don’t you think? Just yesterday, footage of Jeff from the live feed started circulating where he went on a homophobic rant in an argument with Kalia. Awful, buddy! Also, a big game changer was Evel Dick having to leave the competition unexpectedly (which everyone found out about also through the live feeds, but we only saw it happen officially in this episode). As this episode starts, Porsche & Keith are the duo up for eviction, but houseguests compete for the Power of Veto in this episode which could change that.
Following the nomination, Porsche is on edge because she is worried about being on the block in the first week. The veterans try to calm her down and make her feel better, assuring her that it’s Keith that is going home and that they want her to have the Golden Key to keep her safe for a month.
After the houseguests aren’t able to find Dick anywhere (Jeff: “I don’t see Dick, I don’t hear Dick…”) and then find out about his sudden departure, the veterans are thrown off their game. Brendon is livid about Keith being visibly happy about the sudden turn of events. All of the veterans are being stress cases, and randomly, Jeff is the only voice of reason. He reminds them if they think they’re going to lose, they will. He’s right in this case.
As the episode continues, Keith starts to come undone and screw things up with his alliance. He decides to “expose” Porsche and Kalia, claiming they’re siding with the others, which is only partially true. Dominic, the unofficial leader of The Regulators, is a now little worried about Keith as part of their alliance.
Sidenote: I love Rachel, but know that a lot of people find her annoying. I wonder if those haters could possibly be finding Keith even MORE annoying than her right now? I can’t stand him and he’s ruining The Regulators!
At the Veto Competition, Brenchel competes against Keith & Porsche, in addition to Jeff & Jordan who were randomly drawn. Essentially it’s whoever finishes a puzzle first (wearing tights of course) wins. Adam hosts the competition. Both Keith and Porsche work to throw the competition, without the other knowing. It’s so obvious and quite awful to watch. Even worse, Jeff & Jordan did just as poorly (NOT trying to throw the competition). In the end, Brenchel won.
The next part of the episode was Brenchel talking to all the newbies in the HOH room, pair by pair. They certainly always let the power go to their head now don’t they? In this case, it was more so Brendon than Rachel with the power trip. Everyone says whatever they think the power couple wants to hear to avoid getting put up.
At the Veto Ceremony, Rachel announces that they have decided not to use the Power of Veto, and Porsche or Keith will indeed be going home tomorrow night. Who do you think it will be?
Here’s how I think the votes will play out:
With that, I think that Keith is going home, making his alliance the…Irregulators? He’s too much of a loose cannon to keep in their alliance.
