Ugh, as the episode started I was reminded that Chima was HOH – nightmare. At the same time, I was also reminded that Jeff has the Coup d’Etat, meaning that he’s the one with the actual power this week. Excellent. Nobody knows he has it or what the power is, so they’ve coined it “The Wizard.”

Chima has to put two people up for nomination today. She tells Michele that she wants a woman to win, so she is hesitant in putting women up for eviction. She thinks she wants to put Russell up, but Jesse and Natalie want to keep him as a potential number, even though they don’t completely trust him. Russell senses this and realizes he needs to do something to save his ass, so he apologized to Chima for their differences and things he had said to her in the past.

So I guess the houseguests were telling each other sad stories, and whoa, Chima had the saddest for sure. Ten years ago, Chima was raped by a serial killer, and survived. The guy was apparently put on death row and has since been killed. It sort of changed everyone’s opinion of Chima, myself included. She is pretty tough and rubs people the wrong way, but with something like that, you can understand how that has shaped who she is. I have a new found respect for her.

Back to the paranoia. Jordan think that Jordan and Jeff are going to be put up for eviction. It’s killing Jeff that he can’t tell her that he has the Coup d’Etat. Jordan is convinced that Michele is the mystery person.

Doorbell rings. It’s Jeremy Piven!? After chatting with the houseguests for a bit and making them laugh, he announces a luxury competition. The winning team gets to see a screening of his new film The Goods which comes out August 14th. The winning team also gets to compete for a cash prize. The theme is used car salesmen. A bunch of random objects of all shapes and sizes have a number attached to them, representing their value as a sales tool. The objective is to sell the most used cars. They have 5 minutes to fill up the car with the items, and themselves. The losing team are the Have Nots for the week. There are two teams: Shirts and Ties. The Shirts team has Natalie, Jordan, Jesse, and Russell. The Ties has Michele, Jeff, Lydia, and Kevin. Since Chima is HOH, she’s the host. The Shirts sold 399 cars. The Ties sold 410 cars and win. Now the winners get a chance to win the cash prize. There are 5 commission checks and whoever has the biggest commission check wins that amount of money. Russell wins with a check for $10,000.

Now time for petty love triangle drama. Lydia goes and talks to Jesse. Then Natalie get super jealous and drags Jesse up to the HOH room. Natalie talks about her not wanting Jesse to talk to Lydia. Jesse leaves the room because he doesn’t want to deal with the drama, but then comes back as he says he needs to discuss it with them as Chima and Natalie are all he has. Chima now thinks it makes sense for Lydia to go for the sake of their alliance. If Natalie and Jesse were to fight, their alliance would be kaput.

Time for the Nomination Ceremony. Russell and Lydia are up for eviction – predictable. Jeff was the last name called to be safe, to which he says “Thank you, Chima for making me sweat.” Next up will be the POV Competition which really doesn’t matter, because in the end, if Russell is not taking off the block by the POV winner, Jeff will use the Coup D’Etat to do so himself. I can’t wait to see how it all goes down.
