Beyonce has joined Michelle Obama’s “Move Your Body” campaign to fight childhood obesity. In an effort to get youngsters to get up and move around, the R&B singer has reworked one of her singles for the cause. Queen B has given “Get Me Bodied” new life and renamed it to “Move Your Body” and also given it more relevant lyrics. Since kids love to imitate dance moves, Beyonce enlisted longtime collaborator Frank Gatson Jr. to come up with new dance moves to compliment the new lyrics.
I’ve embedded two videos below revolving around Beyonce’s involvement with Obama’s health and wellness initiative. The first of which show Beyonce giving her thoughts on the campaign, while the second one shows a bunch of kids working out the choreography. Even though I’m obviously beyond the intended demographic, I’m going to learn it as well. I love me some fun choreo. Hopefully I’ll shed a couple of pounds along the way. LOL.

I really like the effort put forth, but the new version sounds like a bad/corny radio edit. I hope that the campaign is effective though! get people off the computer and doing something.. :p
