Beyoncé Joins J. Balvin & Willy William On ‘Mi Gente’ Remix For Charity

Beyoncé is doing her part to help out hurricane relief charities. The 36-year-old singer jumps on a remix for J Balvin and Willy William’s smash hit “Mi Gente.” She revealed on her website that she’s donating proceeds of the single to those nations affected by catastrophic hurricanes.

“I am donating my proceeds from this song to hurricane and earthquake relief charities for Puerto Rico, Mexico and other affected Caribbean islands. To help go to Beyonce.com/reliefefforts,” Bey wrote.

Mi Gente” has already hit No. 1 in several countries including Colombia, Italy, Mexico and Spain to name a few, along with peaking so far at No. 2 on the US Latin charts. With Bey on board, it’ll be interesting to see if it crosses over to the Billboard Hot 100 like “Despacito” did when Justin Bieber helped out with a remix.

Give it a listen below. Not surprisingly, Beyoncé is equally as fierce when she’s singing in Spanish.

This song is such a bop and Beyonce sounds so badass. I don’t know if people realize how difficult it can be to rap in a different language. Beyonce makes it sound so effortless, showing us once again that she’s the most hard working woman in the biz.
