Whether or not the Spice Girls actually reunite for the upcoming London Olympics, I thought it was the perfect time to take a trip down memory lane. Mel B aka Scary Spice feuled rumors by letting it slip the five girls would come together and perform at Queen Elizabeth II’s Diamond Jubilee this summer. With the Olympics shortly after that, it would only make sense they continue on to the 2012 Summer Olympics.
While most of the gang seems gung-ho on this, one of the “spices” is apparently holding out. Reports say Posh Spice aka Victoria Beckham née Adams isn’t keen for another reunion due to the fact she’s super busy with her successful fashion line. For me, she was the most useless so I’d be okay with a Spice Girls quartet. Last time they had four members they delivered the amazing “Holler” and that was with Beckham and not Halliwell.
Beckham, Brown, Emma Bunton, Melanie Chisholm, and Geri Halliwell better known as the Spice Girls are one of the most successful girl groups of all-time. In terms of sales, they definitely are. They’ve sold a whopping 75 million albums during their short time together. TLC comes in at second with 50 million under their belt. Besides The Beatles, they are arguably the second biggest British band export.
When they reunited in 2007, I was lucky enough watch the girls kick off their “Return of the Spice Girls” tour in Vancouver with fellow writer, Dan. The place was packed with teenage girls and adult gays. It was EPIC. We found ourselves singing to the top of our lungs and performing Spice Girls choreo thoughout the concert. The tween girls beside us marveled at our impeccable dance moves ;) Curious to know what my favorite Spice Girls tracks are? Continue reading to find out my Top 10 Spice Girls Songs are.

10. Goodbye
9. Spice Up Your Life
8. Mama
7. Wannabe
6. 2 Become 1
5. Who Do You Think You Are
4. Too Much
3. Say You’ll Be There
2. Holler
1. Stop
Obviously, “Stop” reigns supreme in my books. The video choreography alone propels it to No. 1. The second choice of “Holler” might surprise most of you, but those who know won’t be. I’m a R&B kid at heart and that Darkchild-produced track was definitely their most underrated song ever. As you can also see, their ballads also were a hit with me. Their accompanying slo-mo music videos for their slow jams were awesomely cheesy.
Now that you know what mine are, I’d love to hear your favorites. Post them below and share your favorite Spice Girls memory.

Their 2008 reunion tour is still one of best concerts I’ve ever been to. I miss them :)
