You can always count on Benetton to produce striking visuals. United Colors of Benetton has fittingly enough titled their new ad campaign, “COLOR.” Typically, the Italian brand stays away from well-known names, but they are breaking tradition and beginning a new era by using brand ambassadors.
They’ve assembled nine tastemakers from around the world including transgender model Lea T., chef Matias Perdomo, Sudanese supermodel Alek Wek and Dudley O’Shaughnessy to front the campaign. You might recognize the blond-haired stud for being Rihanna’s Chris Brown stand-in for her “We Found Love” music video. Giulio Rustichelli snapped the nine portrait sets.
Reinforcing the brand’s commitment to diversity, proceeds raised from the sale of the limited edition T-shirt with images from the campaign will be donated in support of the activities of the UNHATE Foundation. I have to say, I’m liking the company’s decision to return to color. Their previous campaigns have tried to court controversy too hard. None more so than their infamous kissing politicians campaign featuring world leaders smooching with each other- Photoshopped, of course. Check out a few images of Benetton’s new brand ambassadors below.

I see the first model on tumblr a lot and I don’t find him all that attractive to have thousands of likes/reblogs.
