As I mentioned yesterday, pilot season is in full swing and it’s causing some major casting news on the blogosphere. One of the networks that is always fairly acting during this time is The CW. Currently, the network is getting ready to watch pilots from Arrow as well as a prequel to the famous Sex and the City series.

However, one pilot I particularly have my eye on is their take on the classic tale of Beauty & the Beast. Lovers of the Disney fairytale beware, this isn’t your childhood story. This adaptation will see the characters in the modern day. While no mention of the Beast being cast, the network has released who will play Belle in the upcoming pilot. Who will it be? Playing the role of Belle will be CW alum, Kristin Kreuk. If you remember, she played Lana Lang on the network’s long running Smallville. Since the show ended, Kristin has made a few appearances on NBC’s Chuck and worked on the film Space Milkshake. Hopefully, this pilot will bring a promising new role for Kristin and I think she’s perfect to play the brunette. What do you think? Sound off below.
