Avicii scored big with his folk-tinged smash “Wake Me Up” featuring Aloe Blacc. The 26-year-old Swedish DJ has another potential hit on his hands by once again thinking outside the box. He’s enlisted the Zac Brown Band, for his newest single, “Broken Arrows.” Who knew country-tinged vocals would work so well with dance synths.

For the accompanying visual, director Julius Onah looked to Olympic history for the narrative. The protagonist in the clip is loosely inspired by Dick Fosbury. The track athlete revolutionized the high jump event with an unique new technique which later became known as the “Fosbury Flop.”

Until he won gold at the 1968 Olympics, no one had jumped with their back first. I’m sure Onah took liberties with the real story to make a compelling clip. Did the daughter really come up with the idea? Keep that in mind when watching the music video below.
