I recently came across Sliimy and was captivated by his amazing voice. Apparently it was Perez Hilton that discovered this gem last December 2008 with his cover of Britney Spears’ Womanizer. Sliimy whose real name is Yanis Sahraoui was born in 1989 and is a french singer-songwriter from Saint-Étienne (France). If Mika and Lily Allen had a baby it would probably sound like Sliimy.

I stumbled onto a few club remixes of his, loved it (Although I thought he was a she when I first heard them. :P), another person that I stumbled onto who I think should be quite big is Anjulie, her single ‘Boom’ is…infectious! Yeah I thought he was a girl too when I first heard him. Sweet… I didn’t know Anjulie was Canadian. I love the Bimbo Jones remix of Boom.
What club remixes of Sliimy have you found that are good?

I found the Buzz Junkies Remix first, and I think it’s my favourite of the two (Unfortunately I can’t find it on youtube!), it’s a little slower though, so if you want something faster, then the Digital Dog remix is the way to go.

Hehe, I’m trying to work Sliimy into my sets at work, too good to pass up. As well as Anjulie (The Bimbo Jones remix is -amazing!- You’ve got good taste!).

True! The PCD remixes are great. They also did an AMAZING remix of the Saturdays song ‘Issues’. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l3vHf4Cglbw (And one of my guilty pleasures is their remix of Taylor Swifts ‘Love Story’, but if you bring it up to anyone, I’ll deny it.)
