If you read our Who’d You Rather match-up this week, you know I’m a fan of the CW freshman series, Arrow. I’m not a comic book geek by any means, but I’m really enjoying the drama, surprisingly. Having a hot lead like Stephen Amell doesn’t hurt either.
EW.com is reporting that the show is adding a new villain to the show’s growing roster of bad guys. Deadshot, Deathstroke, The Huntress and China White have already been enlisted to face off against Oliver Queen this season. On the tenth episode, Firefly joins the battle royale. For all you comic book novices, Firefly is a DC Comics character and originally one of Batman’s nemesis. Find out what actor has been cast in the role.

Battlestar Galactica: Razor actor Andrew Dunbar scored the gig. His notable credits include SGU Stargate Universe and Tower Prep. Before Dunbar transforms into Firefly, he’s a firefighter named Garfield Lynns. It’s after being horribly burned on the job that he turns evil. Just like the character Green Arrow, the show will reinterpret Firefly as a more “grounded and realistic” version than the DC comics. Firefly uses lighting effects and optical illusions. It’ll be interesting to see what powers the writers give him on the show.
Are you watching Arrow? Excited Firefly is heading to Starling City? Which comic book character are you hoping makes its way to the show next? Sound off below.

Firefly will make for a good character on the show. Arrow seems very promising, and I’m glad that it’s on the CW. The show has plenty of action, and I enjoy re-watching the episodes from time to time, so I’ll be saving this entire first season to my DISH Hopper. It’s nice to have a DVR with plenty of memory; I had to pick and choose with my last DVR. Now I just need to convince some of my friends that work with me at DISH to make the jump to Arrow, even though they are sad that Hartley didn’t land the lead.
