I’ve been meaning to write this post for a couple of Sundays now but kept forgetting. Why have I been saving it for specifically for Sunday? As you know, we try to reserve this day to talk about something more personal and give a glimpse to who we are.
During my university days, I worked retail part-time. One of my co-workers (and friends) at the time was Trevor Guthrie. If you were a fan of boy bands during the late 90s/early 2000s, you might remember soulDecision. They had a couple of hits in Canada, but hit it big with “Faded” internationally. Yours truly even got a shout out on one of their first albums. I haven’t seen him in a couple of years, but Brian always bumps into him while both are getting their hair dids. Yup, we all have the same hairstylist.
An old friend of mine from back in the day recently directed me to Trevor’s latest single. He teamed up with Dutch producer Armin Van Buuren for a wicked new dance track, “This Is What It Feels Like.” The song has peaked to No. 2 in the Netherlands and starting to get some radio airplay in Canada. If you haven’t heard it yet, check it out below. It’s pretty good and I predict it’s going to be a grower.
