Absence does indeed make the heart grow fonder. After growing tired of the reality competition, I’m actually looking forward to Cycle 23 of America’s Next Top Model. The last cycle aired in late 2015.
With a new home at VH1, a new panel was assembled. British singer Rita Ora will host and judge alongside model Ashley Graham, Paper Magazine Chief Creative Officer Drew Elliott and celebrity stylist Law Roach. Show creator Tyra Banks stays on as executive producer and will make appearances. Speaking of which, she appears in the trailer revealing what she’s looking for. “I’m not looking for a traditional model. And I’m not looking for a social media model. I’m looking for both,” she explains.
The 14 ladies vying for the title are Binta Dibba (Seattle, WA), Cherish Waters (Los Angeles, CA), Cody Wells (San Jose, CA), CoryAnne Roberts (Bali, Indonesia), Courtney Nelson (San Francisco, CA), Giah Hardeman (Bryan-College Station, TX), India Gants (Seattle, WA), Justine Biticon (Los Angeles, CA), Krislian Rodriguez (Los Angeles, CA), Kyle McCoy (Darien, CT), Marissa Hopkins (Houston, TX), Paige Mobley (Birmingham, MI), Tash Wells (San Jose, CA), and Tatiana Price (Brooklyn, NY). Not only are they photogenic, but from the looks of it, are dramatic as well. These girls don’t hold anything back.
The winner of ANTM will receive $100,000, a commercial feature on behalf of Rimmel London, and a fashion spread in Paper Magazine, along with an exclusive one year talent deal with VH1. America’s Next Top Model returns Monday, December 12. Watch the super trailer below.
