Blake Lively, Anne Hathaway and Drew Barrymore all recently walked down the aisle looking absolutely gorgeous in their custom designer wedding dresses. Typically, wedding photographs have publications foaming at the mouth to snag exclusive rights to publish them. Often times, they shell out major dollars to do so.

With these three lovely ladies, the demand is even higher due to their high-profile celebrity status. One of them is donating the revenue received from their photographs to the fight for gay marriage equality. Have any guesses? Here’s a hint, this actress has a gay brother.

“In my household, being gay was, and is, no big deal,” she said. “When my brother came out, we hugged him, said we loved him, and that was that.”


If you guessed Anne Hathaway, give yourself a bright shiny gold star. The 29-year-old actress wed Adam Shulman in Big Sur, California on September 29. The two are donating a portion of the revenue from their wedding photos to nonprofits advocating for marriage for same-sex couples. The newlyweds are also donating to the American Cancer Society, St. Jude Children’s Research and The Girl Effect.

Hathaway has been a longtime supporter of gay rights. In 2008, she received an award from the Human Rights Campaign for her efforts. Here’s a quote from the rousing speech she delivered at the dinner.

“I don’t consider myself just an ally to the LGBT community, I consider myself your family. And so, I’m doing what we should all do with our families – I’m loving you, I support you, I completely accept you as you are, as I hope you do me, and if anyone ever tries to hurt you, I’m going to give them hell.”

Don’t you just love Anne Hathaway even more for donating wedding photo profits to various charities? I definitely do.
