During the 2017 Golden Globes, the cameras caught Ryan Reynolds and Garfield kissing after Reynolds lost to Ryan Gosling for Best Actor In A Comedy or Musical. During his appearance on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, Garfield explained why he gave the Deadpool actor a smooch during the ceremony.
“I just wanted Ryan to know that I loved him no matter whether he won or lost,” Andrew disclosed. “It doesn’t matter. It’s how you play the game and you showed up. He gave his all. It doesn’t change anything in my heart.”
After his explanation, Colbert saw an opportunity for a peck. “You’re totally comfortable with kissing other men. Not everybody is but I’m totally comfortable to,” Colbert replied. Watch the late night host kiss Garfield below. It must’ve been good, because Colbert went for a second helping. The action begins around the 1:30 mark.
