I don’t know about you, but I love spoilers. I’m impatient that way. Bless Zap2It.com’s little hearts for scoring the scoop on what songs the Top 6 will be singing on tomorrow’s American Idol show.

Each singer is performing two songs apiece. Hopefully, there won’t be room for any more random group pairings. I’d hate to be the girl saddled up with Lazaro Arbos. Angie Miller definitely was a good sport last week, even though Lazaro forgot his words once again. I digress.

Keeping in line with the oldies vibe Idol just can’t escape, the first group of songs will honor Burt Bacharach and Hal David. Personally, I actually like their songbook, but does Nigel have to recycle a theme used from Season 1. Side note: That was the week Tamyra Gray murdered “A House Is Not A Home.” I thought she’d be a shoo-in for the finals. Damn you Nikki McKibbin.

The second group of songs is another recycled theme, “Songs They Wish They’d Written.” At least with this, the Top 6 will have more freedom and hopefully pick contemporary and uptempo tracks. I don’t want a 2-hour ballad-fest. Check out what each contestant picked below.

Kree Harrison

  • Song She Wishes She Wrote: “How to Make It Through the Night” by Kris Kristofferson
  • Bacharach/David Song: “What the World Needs Now”

Angie Miller

  • Song She Wishes She Wrote: “Love Came Down” by Kari Jobe
  • Bacharach/David Song: “Anyone Who Had a Heart”

Candice Glover

  • Song She Wishes She Wrote: “Love Song” by The Cure (Adele version)
  • Bacharach/David Song: “Don’t Make Me Over”

Lazaro Arbos

  • Song “She” Wishes She Wrote: “Angels” by Robbie Williams
  • Bacharach/David Song: “They Long to Be Close to You”

Janelle Arthur

  • Song She Wishes She Wrote: “The Dance” by Garth Brooks
  • Bacharach/David Song: I’ll Never Fall in Love Again”

Amber Holcomb

  • Song She Wishes She Wrote: “Love on Top” by Beyonce
  • Bacharach/David Song: “Say a Little Prayer”

I’m a little worried for Amber. Glad she picked an uptempo track but “Love On Top” is one of those tracks that doesn’t translate well for a live performance, unless your name is Beyonce. That said, a solid choice for her other song. I think Candice hit the nail on the head with both of her picks. Each will suit her voice and allow her to shine. I can’t wait to hear her performances.

What do you think of their song choices? Who picked the best/worst? Who do you think is in trouble? Sound off below.
