Evan Peters Officially Skipping ‘American Horror Story’ Season 9

Next to Sarah Paulson, only one other person has appeared in every season of American Horror Story. When Season 9 arrives, Paulson will be the lone wolf because Evan Peters has confirmed he’s skipping the upcoming season of the FX anthology series.

“No, I’m going to sit a season out,” Peters confirmed to Extra.

This confirmation shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise. Last summer, the 32-year-old actor hinted about his exit to GQ.

“It’s just exhausting. It’s really mentally draining, and you don’t want to go to those places ever in your life,” he told publication. “And so you have to go there for the scenes, and it ends up integrating it somehow into your life. You’re in traffic and you find yourself screaming and you’re like, What the hell? This isn’t who I am.”

I wonder if his departure has anything to do with his breakup with Emma Roberts who’s set to star in Season 9, along with Gus Kenworthy, Billy Eichner and Paulson. No other cast members or details have been announced.

Bummed that Peters is sitting this one out? Sound off below.
