Ryan Murphy Reunites Coven For ‘American Horror Story’ Season 8

With the premiere of American Horror Story Season 8 less than a month away, I thought I’d catch you up, and myself, on what I missed during my summer hiatus. Here goes nothing.

The upcoming season, dubbed Apocalypse, “begins with the end of the world.” It’ll unite characters from Murder House (Season 1) and Coven (Season 3) for what will undoubtedly be a truly terrifying experience.

As you can see from the photo above, Taissa Farmiga, Gabourey Sidibe, Lily Rabe, Frances Conroy, Emma Roberts, Sarah Paulson and Stevie Nicks reprise their bewitching roles. Though not pictured, Jessica Lange, will return to the AHS fold for one episode directed by Paulson. She hasn’t appeared in the anthology since Freak Show (Season 4).

Other AHS alums slated to appear are Kathy Bates, Billie Lourd, Leslie Grossman, Adina Porter, Evan Peters, Billy Eichner and Cheyenne Jackson. New blood will come in the form of Dynasty legend Joan Collins as Peters’ character’s grandmother and American Crime Story: Versace actor Cody Fern who’ll play the grown-up version of baby Michael Langdon from Murder House (Season 1).

AHS: Apocalypse premieres Wednesday, September 12. Check out another photo shared by Ryan Murphy below, along with a teaser FX shared a couple of weeks ago. Oh, and in case you missed it, American Horror Story was recently given a Season 10 renewal.

The Return. Cordelia, Stevie and Misty casting a bewitching spell.
