Ryan Murphy Reveals American Horror Story Season 7 Theme Is The US Presidential Election

American Horror Story is going all The Purge: Election Year on us for its next season.

FX previously announced it would keep mum on next season’s theme of American Horror Story much like what they did with Season 6. It was only when the season premiere aired that viewers knew it was Roanoke. And even then, it took a few episodes to really figure out what was going on.

Guess Ryan Murphy never got the memo about keeping his lips sealed. The 51-year-old producer spilled the beans while chatting with Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live.

When Cohen asked about Season 7 of AHS, Murphy disclosed that the theme will be a presidential one, about the US General Election to be exact. Quite fitting since half of the country already feel like they’re living a terrible nightmare.

Watch the video below and learn what Murphy had to say if there will be a character based on President Donald Trump.
