Ryan Murphy first teased this back in 2016. It appears the highly-anticipated crossover is happening sooner rather than later. The 52-year-old producer confirmed via Twitter that American Horror Story Season 8 will features characters from both Murder House (Season 1) and Coven (Season 3).
The Coven/Murder House AHS crossover season won't be happening next year…because it's happening THIS YEAR. AHS #8 WITCHES RULE THIS SEPTEMBER
— Ryan Murphy (@MrRPMurphy) June 14, 2018
Earlier this year, Murphy told reporters that the crossover season would most likely be for Season 9. Guess he changed his mind. Prior to this bombshell announcement, it was revealed that Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson, Kathy Bates, Billy Eichner, Cheyenne Jackson, Adina Porter and Leslie Grossman would be featured in Season 8 along with Dynasty legend Joan Collins. It remains to be seen if the cast will remain the same or if things get switched up due to this development.
Though characters from previous seasons have popped up in other ones including Coven‘s Queenie (Gabourey Sidibe) checking into Hotel and Asylum‘s Lana Winters (Sarah Paulson) making a cameo during Roanoke, Season 8 will be the anthology’s biggest crossover to date. I can’t wait. Who else is excited? Do you think Jessica Lange will make an appearance? Sound off below.
